At Egger Gemüsebau, the ERP system has been the backbone of operational workflows for many years. As a vegetable producer with high order volumes and a fast-paced daily business, core processes run through CSB System – reliably, in a structured way, and deeply embedded in day-to-day operations.
At the same time, much of the daily work does not start in the ERP system, but before it.Orders arrive via voicemail or as PDF attachments by email, often outside of office hours. These messages must be listened to, read, interpreted, and manually transferred into the system. This step between communication and ERP is time-consuming and error-prone – and this is exactly where the greatest leverage was identified.
As part of a pilot project, Egger Gemüsebau therefore began using hoshii operationally for the first time.
hoshii’s Interaction Relationship Management (IRM) platform uses AI to process incoming customer communication and translate it directly into structured, ERP-relevant information. In practical terms for Egger, this means that voicemail and PDF orders are automatically captured, understood in context, and prepared in a way that allows seamless transfer into the CSB system.
Employees continue to work in their familiar communication environment. Orders arrive as they always have – by phone or email. In the background, hoshii takes over the content processing, identifies relevant information such as items, quantities, and delivery dates, and transfers this data in a structured form to CSB. The operational process therefore starts exactly where it belongs – in the ERP system, without manual listening, typing, or forwarding.
As a result, day-to-day work at Egger Gemüsebau changes noticeably. Communication is no longer a preliminary manual effort, but an integrated part of the ERP process. Workflows become more consistent, response times shorter, and the team is relieved – especially during periods of high order volume.
Based on the success of this pilot project, hoshii and CSB System have now entered into a partnership.The goal of this collaboration is to systematically bring AI-driven communication processing into the CSB ecosystem and make it accessible to additional CSB customers. Insights from the project with Egger Gemüsebau flow directly into the expansion of the integration and the further development of standardized use cases.
This creates a new form of ERP usage for CSB customers. Communication is no longer treated as a preliminary workload, but as an integral part of structured processes. Especially in industries with high communication volumes, this opens up new efficiency potential without fundamentally changing existing ways of working.
The project with Egger Gemüsebau clearly demonstrates what modern ERP usage can look like today – not through additional screens or more complex workflows, but through intelligent processing of the daily interactions that drive operations.
