Hoshii vs. Plato

Plato helps field sales sell more. Hoshii helps the order desk get through the inbox.

Plato plans customer visits, builds quotes on the road and shows from ERP data where revenue is. Hoshii works at the other end: in the order desk's shared mailbox, where orders, complaints and questions arrive. It sorts them, assigns them, brings the customer in from the ERP and creates checked orders.

  • Built for the order desk The bottleneck Hoshii solves is the mailbox with 80 mails in the morning, not the field rep's route.
  • Every mail, not only quotes Orders, complaints and invoice questions are assigned and answered in the same tool.
  • One workspace for the team Personal and shared mailboxes come together in the Hoshii Workspace. Agents sort, enrich and prepare; your team decides.

At a glance

Hoshii Plato
Where your team works In the Hoshii Workspace, which brings your team's mailboxes together. An Outlook add-in covers the transition. In the Plato app, including mobile at the customer. 1
Which order formats are read PDF, email text, Excel, photo, handwriting and voicemail, with no templates to set up. PDFs and emails become quotes in the ERP. 1
What is handled besides orders Everything that reaches your operations team: orders, complaints, invoices, questions. Order processing is one of the modules. Visit planning, quotes, voice notes from the field. Sorting all mail is not part of it. 1
Matching to the article master Every line is matched to the ERP article, even when the customer calls it something else. Uncertain lines are flagged. Real-time product and price lookup for quotes. 1
When the ERP is posted Only once someone on your team approves. Nothing is posted before that. Quotes are created in the ERP. 1
Owner and status Every mail shows who has it, how far it is and by when. Internal comments stay internal. Tasks between field and inside sales. 1
Reporting Response times, handling time and open items, per team, customer and topic. Churn risk, cross-selling signals, dashboards. 1
ERP connection Live with more than 20 ERP systems, connected over REST, GraphQL, MCP or SFTP. SAP, GWS, eNVenta and SHC as named partners. 1
Price Per workspace, by mail volume and connected systems. Quote after the demo. Not published. 1
Rollout The mailbox is connected the same day. The ERP connection takes a few days. Two to three days to go-live, per the maker. 1

Which one fits

Plato fits if

  • Your lever is field sales: whom to visit, what to offer, which customer is about to leave.
  • Quotes should be built at the customer, with prices from the ERP.
  • Your ERP is SAP, GWS, eNVenta or SHC.

Hoshii fits if

  • Your bottleneck is the order desk at the shared mailbox.
  • Orders arrive as PDF, Excel, photo or voicemail and should land checked in the ERP.
  • Your team needs a shared workspace for everything that arrives, not only for orders.

The 2 to 3 hours a day we used to process orders have been cut in half. New joiners also have impact significantly faster.

Questions

Are Plato and Hoshii competitors?

Only at the edge. Both connect to the ERP and both process documents from email. Plato is built for sales, Hoshii for the order desk. A wholesaler may need both.

Does Hoshii handle requests for quotes?

Yes, like any other mail: it is recognised, assigned and prepared with context from the ERP. Pricing like Plato's is not part of Hoshii.

Does Hoshii provide sales signals too?

Signals from the mailbox: more complaints, fewer orders from a customer, longer response times. Signals from the ERP's revenue data are Plato's.

Which ERP systems does Hoshii support?

More than 20, among them Microsoft Dynamics, CSB-System and microtech, connected over REST, GraphQL, MCP or SFTP.
